With hormonal imbalances comes breakouts, A LOT of breakouts. Why? Simply because when there is an excess of a substance in the body (in my case oestrogen) our liver cannot process it all so it basically says nah! Sorry! I’m out! & takes the easy route... sending the hormones back into the body (opposed to detoxifying these, soon to be, harmful substances) and this can cause a whole heap of unwanted symptoms from breakouts, imbalances of other hormones, abnormal/painful cycles, endo, insomnia, swelling, pcos, headaches, mood swings, weight gain, water retention, extreme fatigue, PMS - just to name a few.
When I was in my very early teens my doctor identified that I had an hormonal imbalance and within 5 minutes gave me a “magic pill” and sent me on my way. Little did I know he had done nothing to help me, in fact he only caused more damage by blocking my body’s function to produce & release hormones and instead cause my body to rely on synthetic hormones (made in a lab). This does nothing but mask our imbalances & in the long term it destroys our health. What happens in 5,10,20 years time when we want to come off the pill and want to start producing our own hormones? Sisters, study’s show that 1 in 3 women suffer with a hormonal imbalance so let’s be open about it & support one another so that we truely can live our best life! 🌸💚 it’s so important that we identify and treat the root cause and not just mask the symptoms xx #health #nourishfromwithin #wellness #sisterhood
