The lab. Don’t get me wrong, I love making pipes for you fucks, but I hold an immeasurable amount of pride for my scientific work. I can remember the days in my parents’ old house. I would ask my parents for toys that resembled lab glass or equipment. I would venture with my mom, who is a school teacher, to this store (blanking on the name) where she would purchase items for her lesson plans. I’d always be caught perusing the science class aisles, looking for silly little experiments I could conduct at home. I remember she got me a simple set of test tubes. Though they were plastic and she didn’t want to trust a 10 year-old with glass, you can bet your ass I had fun with them. I ransacked the kitchen, combining condiments, oils, and soaps to see how they separated based on their densities. I even made a small desktop “lab” in my bedroom, where I could perform such experiments in the hopes of finding the perfect sauce to drench one of my dad’s famous cheeseburgers in, but Famous Dave’s bbq sauce usually prevailed. I guess what I’m trying to get to is that I never thought I’d be where I am today: a scientific glassblower, working in an aerospace lab. I sure as shit can’t say I’m surprised though. Whatever you do, promise me that you won’t stop pursuing your passions and interests. For those of you who cared to read this far, I’ll be hosting a giveaway at 2k followers to say thanks for your continued support 😘 #scientificglass #keepsmesane #princeharryglass #headyscience #motivation #thankful #chaseyourpassion #fortheloveofglass #science #aerospace #glassofig #bestofglass #thousanddollarglass #practicemakesperfect #freeshit

The first image of a hydrogen atom's orbital structure. They're calling it, "the asshole of Sauron," or, "the atom's asshole," or, "Bill's butthole" named after an intern working for the scientists. Each atomic hydrogen state is called something else. #science #hydrogen #lotr #sauron #physics

#Repost @nasa ( @get_repost) ・・・ Sputters and spurts on the Sun’s only visible active region eventually unleashed this brief, bright flare on Feb. 7. The flare appears about mid-way through the half-day clip. Normally, we do not pay much attention to flares this small, but it was just about the only real solar activity over the week around Feb. 7 as the Sun is slowing approaching its quiet period of the 11-year solar cycle. These images were taken in a wavelength of extreme ultraviolet light. Regrann from @uzaydanhaberler - HUUBLE'DAN KIZILÖTESİNDE JÜPİTER⠀ ⠀ Jüpiter kızılötesi ışıkta biraz farklı görünüyor. Kutuplar parlıyor çünkü burada yüksek irtifadaki pus, Jüpiter’in manyetosferi tarafından enerji yükleniyor. Juno şimdi Jüpiter etrafında planlanan 12 bilimsel dönüşünden 10’unu tamamladı ve insanlığın yalnızca Jüpiter’in iklimini değil, kalın bulutların altında ne olduğunu da anlamasına yardımcı olmaya devam ediyor.⠀ ⠀ Görsel: NASA, ESA, Hubble; Veri: Michael Wong (UC Berkeley) et al.; Görüntü İşleme & Telif: Judy Schmidt⠀ ⠀ #apod #nasa #sky #space #astronomy #science #repost #gökyüzü #astronomi #uzay #bilim #uzaydanhaberler - #regrann

Cell Biology! Today we looked at a sample containing Carmine to demonstrate how Brownian Motion works, which is the erratic, random movement of microscopic particles in a fluid. We also got to take a look at Parameciums swimming around some cotton. The cotton was added to slow them down. To say the least, it was really fun! #science #cellbio #biology #microbiology #micro #paramecium

An Atlantic Horsehoe Crab (Limulus polyphemus) seen while camping oon a beach at the southern end of the Everglades National Park. Despite their name, horseshoe crabs are not crabs and are actually more closely related to spiders, scorpions, and other arachnids. Fossil evidence shows that these animals have been around on our planet for at least 300 million years. And because the horseshoe crabs of today look remarkably similar to ones found in the past, they are often referred to as 'living fossils' . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #horseshoecrab #florida #conservation #everglades #nationalpark #evergladesnationalpark #crab #beach #nature #naturephotography #science #biology #photography #evolution #fossil #fossilwatch #wildlife #wildlifephotography #picoftheday #photooftheday #natgeo #nationalgeographic #bbcearth #natgeoinspires #travel #travelphotography #ocean #natgeoinspires #camping #arthropod

Digestion and flying ✈️ Flying can be particularly taxing on the body, generally associated with impaired digestion and prevailing bloat. At these increased altitudes (due to a change in air pressure) the body will prioritise functions which are more essential in this perceived state of stress 😤 diverting blood flow away from digestive organs. . 👉🏻 These issues can generally be solved by fasting through a flight, and ensuring that the meal consumed prior to flying is easily digested and not overdone. . Side note - @giuliaacolaci packed more for a 4 day intestate trip than I did for a 4 week international trip 🙄 . . . #mgf #michaelgarziafitness #nutrition #nutritionist #training #personaltraining #food #transformation #shred #bulk #fitness #fit #iifym #diet #coach #coaching #science #health #fitspo #trainer
