While most people think that reflexology is just another word for foot massage, it is in fact much more than that…but what exactly is it and what does it do? Beyond the feel-good effects of the treatment, the practice and purpose go deeper than the skin and muscles by taking specific reflex points on the foot to induce a healing response in corresponding organs and areas of the body, as seen in the chart to the left. 💁🏼‍♂️ Kneading the soft fleshy ball of the foot, pulling on the toes, tracing around the heel and pushing deep into the arch are just a few of the many small, intense movements you’ll experience during a reflexology treatment. Addressing anything from headaches to sinus problems to stomach issues, if sensitivity or tenderness is experienced when certain areas of the foot are stimulated, it usually indicates bodily weaknesses or imbalances within the corresponding organ.💁🏼‍♂️ With repeated practice of applying pressure and manipulating nerve endings (traditionally in the foot), reflexology can help to clear any channels of blocked energy through moving the flow of blood, nutrients and nerve impulses to ultimately improve overall health and balance. Abs are not EVERYTHING! If you don't have one, it's completely fine. It doesn't mean you're weaker / less prettier / less liked by anyone else. FOCUS on yourself. DO NOT try to be someone else or trying to have someone else's body. Everyone is different. We even look different standing up and sitting down. If you're feeling bad about your body , this is what you do : ask yourself, are you happy with your current lifestyle? ⠀ IF YES, continue your lifestyle and focus on your own thing. ⠀ IF NO, what are you trying to achieve?  You wanna get a flat belly? Ask yourself why? Was it to impress others? Cz if it is for yourself, there's no need to have a flat belly. For what? There's no reason. The reasons that are valid could be, either you wanna be healthier and you wanna feel more toned and strong or if you wanna achieve your goal as a body builder or get stronger as a runner etc. That would take you to another level. Because that would require a change of lifestyle and you must have the WILL strong enough to get the WAY to help you achieve your goal. ⠀ And it's time to put your foot down and make decisions for yourself. Anything that is making you feeling negative, shut it off. You can always say NO! I unfollow many people 😂 and I also kind of ignore negative energy around me because I want to feel good about myself and I want to focus on myself and I don't want anything to take it away from me. Cocoa Puffs + Oatmeal 🥄OATMEAL is healthier than COCOA PUFFS, so it should be lower in calories right? NOPE 👎🏻🙅🏻 🚫Healthy doesn't mean lower calorie.. and low calories doesn't mean healthy! We can be eating 'low calorie', but pretty unhealthy foods.... or all healthy foods but these could all be very high in calories! 🥄 Whether you have low/high calorie and healthy/not healthy, it is our own preference at the end of the day.. Guys, LISTEN UP! There is a BIG difference between eating healthy and starving yourself. You really don't have to just eat "lettuce and chicken"😩🙅🏻unexciting foods and constantly think you have to eat very little every day to get “skinny." So whats the big problem with this pattern of eating? ⠀ Well… ❌You’ll feel tired and lethargic 😴 ❌You’ll feel weak. ❌You’ll feel constantly hangry (and more likely to reach for those donuts later)🌝 ❌Skin and hair problems ❌Constipation and digestive issues😯 ❌No variety. Different colors = different nutrients! no one food as all the ingredients we need so you MUST eat a VARIETY of nutrient dense foods! 🌈 ❌Your metabolism will take a beating. Its like telling your body you’re starving which will slow down your metabolism. ❌Hormonal disruptions & imbalances including hunger hormones and thyroid hormones. ❌Inability to gain muscle & lose fat. 😫 With not enough “fuel” your body will start to eat away at your muscles for energy rather than digging in to your fat stores. Your body thinks it needs to store those for later. This is why people are often seen as “skinny fat.” ❌Sleep problems (prob due to uneven blood sugar levels). ⠀ Let’s stop depriving ourselves of what we NEED to be healthy and happy! Try new foods >> Get Creative >> eat the rainbow🌈🍱 ⠀ 💪🏻Pro tip: figure out your RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate - the calories you burn at rest a day & what you need to function properly) and make sure you are getting at MINIMUM that number. The difference? On one hand there is a huge difference on the other hand there is little difference 😬 ⠀ Avocados have incredible nutritional benefits BUT When it comes to weight loss you CANNOT lose weight without a caloric deficit. So whether you fill your diet with junk or healthy food if you're consuming more calories than you are burning you unfortunately won't lose weight.
