The number of times we have driven under this bridge! To and from the John Radcliffe ‘making’ Boo with our fertility treatments, living there for weeks after he was born and only seeing it twice in 9 weeks (home and back for our nurses visits for all his trachy kit) months of appointments for that, years for renal scans, orthotic and orthopaedics and today for genetics. Boo is a totally unique anomaly. For some reason he really struggled with today’s appointment and got very upset. For us hopefully it will help again, Dr Stuart has been with us from about 3 weeks old but we haven’t seen her for nearly 4 years due to clerical problems so it was good to catch up and she is very proactive and hopefully ready to kick backsides to get us more help. And through this all, through rain and shine, months and years (13 years nearly) this bridge has been a marker... it makes me quite emotional every time I see it and I try and capture it... sometimes I get it and sometimes it is a blur like the appointments... but is is always there, steady and constant in its odd beauty.
