Triumph. One of the places that I was extremely excited to see was the Arc de Triomphe. Unfortunately, the time when we visited the Arc, it was cloudy and gloomy. I was unsatisfied with the photos that I took so I had to visit again before I left France. There arc was built to honour those who fought and died during the French revolution and Napoleonic war. #forumsessiontonight789 #forumsession

BEST DIET • There's been a lot of buzz this week about what the 'best diet' is after a study was published looking at low fat vs low carb diets for weight loss. @rooted_project have a fantastic breakdown of it on their page - check it out 🙌🏼 • 🤔 All of this diet talk does just keeps bringing me back to diets in general... and it's a question I get asked A LOT. What IS the best diet?! • 🙅🏼‍♀️Can I let you into a secret? THERE IS NO SINGLE BEST DIET. • 🍽 The best way to eat is the way that works for you. One that fits with your life, your income, your moral and ethical standards and most importantly - that you ENJOY. • 🙆🏼‍♀️I don't promote any one way of eating for just that reason, everybody's different. Some people need to count grams of protein or carbs for medical reasons, some peole don't. • 💚A few things I would say though... ☆1. In terms of diets for weight loss - this one still only followed particiants to 12 months. The evidence overwhelmingly suggests that in the long term ~90% of all dieters will regain weight and potentially weight cycle, gaining more than they lost. Not great for our physical or mental health. ☆2.Weight doesn't = health. Health is about more than just your weight. ☆3. Making positive health behaviour changes, like maybe trying to eat some veggies that you like, getting enough sleep, not boozing every day, finding ways to move your body that you enjoy - these will likely have positive outcomes, regardless of weight. • 🥑Food and wellness in general is about more than nutrients, grams of fat or kcals burned - we eat for SO many different reasons. Why not enjoy it? • 🙌🏼Ready to let go of dieting? Intuitive Eating can be one way to break the cycle - DM me if you want to know more about my Intuitive Eating programme. • 🍫 Me? I had some chocolate left over from baking and I fancied chucking it in my porridge. It was delicious. . . . . . . #health #wellness #wellbeing #oats #dietitianlife #breakfast #latergram #dietitianeats #sleep #instafood #foodie #chocolatelover #nuts #porridge #goldensyrup #sugar #lowfat #lowcarb #diet #weightloss #antidiet #fad #nondiet #intuitiveeating #healthateverysize #nutrition #nutritionist

Armand de Brignac. A fantastic visit and lunch with Alexandre to try the full range and a few oldies too! Blanc de Blancs en Magnum rocked. It was an old blend. 2008, 006, 05 which showed some delicious evolution lined up against some fresh vegetal notes. A hint of candied toffee and this lovely citrus pith mid to late. Blanc de Noirs Assemblage Two. I must confess I struggled with this wine a bit. Showing a touch too much development on the nose for me. The palate had great freshness but created a bit of a disconnect. Blanc de Noirs Assemblage One was a step above. 2009, 08, 06. So much more seductive. Brioche, honey, great balance. Some generous toast notes along with strawberry on the mid. Demi Sec. My secret favourite of the day! 2008, 07, 06. 33g/ltr. Touch of licquorice. I'm seduced by the sugar but it is so well balanced. You would never guess the sugar level. We then went for lunch at the wonderful Le Millenaire in Reims. It is well worth a visit. We enjoyed a very approachable and drinkable Gold magnum to start. 2012, 10, 09. 40/40/20 Chd/PN/M. Touch of toast with a nice balance. Next up for the foie gras was the Demi Sec. This time a different blend. 2012, 10, 09. Brighter, more intense with good structure. It nailed the food pairing. The Blanc de Blancs 2012, 10, 09 got lost a bit behind this but was nice, tight and linear. We finished with the Rose 2012, 10, 09 with loads of cherry but I found myself returning to the Demi Sec especially with the Creme Brulee! I am a bit of a slut like that! Thank you Pierre-Alexandre and Alexandre for a fantastic visit. #champagne #armanddebrignac #gold #blancdeblancs #millesime #lemillenaire #latergram #instagramcatchup

I have 3 children with birthdays in the next 9 days, so (a) I’m glad I only have 3 kids, and (b) I’m about to start baking up a storm. Up next: Cakes 🎂 and cupcakes and cookies 🍪 galore. So, here’s a little #tbt to a day where there were a lot fewer sweets in the picture. Mmmm, veggies! #latergram #bakingtime #foodislove #veggiepower

#latergram Here's a big part of the community we're blessed with for this season of homeschooling. 💕 Last week we enjoyed a field trip to an organic farm. They milked cows, hand made some butter, enjoyed the animals and outdoors. Afterwards we enjoyed the beautiful ocean view and ended the afternoon with a cafe lunch by the water. Beautiful day of learning and relaxation with wonderful company. ☀️ #community #classicalconversations #Okinawa #kiyunafarm #organicfarm #fieldtrip #homeschooling

I woke up 20 minutes late and my liquid eyeliner is wonky AF but it’s ok because sometimes when I take 2 hours and 14 attempts to do it I get it even ^ #JK #Latergram
