The Super Nintendo Entertainment System released in Europe in April 1992 for £159. The SNES was a 16-bit home games console that was originally released in Japan in 1990 and becomes the biggest selling 16-bit home console of all time with sales exceeding 50 million units. This model is the PAL version SNSP-001A. The SNES like many gadgets of the time was prone to yellowing of the ABS plastic due to oxidation. #nintendo #mario #sega #gadgets #techmoan #console #vintage #vintagecomputing #retrocomputer #retrogaming #retrogamer #nostalgia #16bit #segamastersystem #nes #donkeykong #instaretro #backintheday #oldskool #8bit #retrocollect #techy #nerd #geek #thanksgiving #technology #instaretro #design #nineties

Today has been another fun filled day. It's amazing how many miles I clock up in a week thank goodness I'm very grateful for my car !!. . You have to be here for some Trivia yeah? Okay okay I'll get on with it lol😂. . Okay D.Y.K That November 23rd 1889 The First Commercial Jukebox was installed??. Congratulations to the first commercial jukebox which was installed in San Francisco, CA. It was called the “Nickel-in-the-Slot”, and played wax cylinder records. Within 6 months it would earn $1,000. The word “Juke” – by the way – means ‘disorderly house’ – therefore this is a disorderly box of music. Put another nickel in – in the Nickelodean – All I want is having you – and Music, music, music.!!. . 1992 - Business Week Predicted Computer Industry was "On the Skids"!!. . With IBM projected to lose $5 billion in 1992, Business Week described the computer business as "an industry on the skids." The magazine cited layoffs at most established computer companies, such as IBM, as well as newer firms like Sun Microsystems, Inc., as evidence that the industry was saturated. A solution, the article concluded, would be for each business to find its proper niche. Well they got that wrong then lol💰💱💲✔️. . 2004 - Blizzard Entertainment released the massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft is currently the most popular online game in history not that I have played it or ever felt the need whatever floats your boat eh ?. So that's your lot thanks for stopping by see you tomorrow 👍🏼. . . . . . #TerrierByteIT #Wifeidge #jukebox #IBM #computerhistory #computer #history #technology #retro #computerhistorymuseum #geek #tech #vintage #techhistory #trivia #technologyhistory #retrotech #computerscience #computers #oldtechnology #informationtechnology #oldschool #computinghistory #oldcomputer #museum #retrocomputing #internethistory #vintagecomputer #retrocomputer #thisdayinhistory
