Good morning!! I went to the Arnold Classic Europe yesterday, which was interesting. I loved seeing the athletes competing in powerlifting and crossfit. However the event just reminded me how focused the fitness industry is on aesthetics, instead of health. I might get a lot of hate for saying this - but it was actually hilarious how many protein companies were selling protein simply with girls in g-strings on their stand. I also saw a lot of fitness models sponsored by protein companies who got their muscles from taking steroids, not from drinking protein. •
On top of that, some of these instagram stars were even posting pics of their abs saying "off to the Arnold today", but the pic is actually from a year ago when they were in shape for their competition. They fail to mention to their followers that they don't look like that all year round.
Don't buy into it all or let it make you feel bad! Focus on healthy and balanced living instead of worrying about what you look like. Healthy living is not only about being physically healthy, but also mentally healthy (and this can include eating chocolate or whatever you want and not feeling guilty about it!). Life is all about balance!
I'm so lucky that I work with two amazing brands @reebokwomenuk and @the_goodguru who share exactly the same view to fitness and health as I do 💖💖💖💖💖 Couldn't have enough love for them.
