I’m surrounded by children each day. A beautiful experience and they teach me so much. One thing that has stood out to me as I build a business is the topic of asking.
Children are the definition of tenacity, bravery, courage, persistence, resilience and love. They are not afraid to ask, usually repeatedly (sometimes with whining and tantrums but that doesn’t fly with momma), for what they want. Next time a child asks you for something, look at the innocent hope in their eyes. Something as adults we lose in our vision. The ability to look at the world with hope, awe, wonder, joy and love. •Sometimes this is a by-product from the attitude we have developed from being denied what we want. BUT are we denied because we never had the courage to ask? Did we make the assumption the answer would be no? Did we do everything within our power to make it happen? Don’t get me wrong here, we need to be willing to put in the work for what we want, but sometimes the starting point is to have COURAGE to ask. And a lesson my girls are learning, is HOW are you asking? Be mindful of your attitude when asking. #goldenrule
