Should the universe even exist? Apparently not. In fact, by following just basic laws of physics, the universe shouldn’t be here. Yet it is, so clearly we’re missing something. Shortly after the universe began around 13.8 billion years ago in the Big Bang, the energy from the Big Bang began to form into the first forms of matter. This is where the problem arises. According to the Standard Model of Particle Physics, equal amounts of matter and antimatter should have formed after the Big Bang. When matter and antimatter collide with each other, they annihilate each other in a burst of energy. So, if equal amounts of matter and antimatter were produced, they all should have annihilated with each other and so the universe shouldn’t actually have any matter. Galaxies, stars, planets, us, none of it should exist based on current understandings of the laws of physics. The problem now is that these same laws have passed experiment after experiment, and have proven to be very successful in describing our universe in many areas. So it’s probably unlikely that the laws of physics are wrong, and it’s even more unlikely that they are being violated. Rather, it’s much more likely that our laws are incomplete. Something is going on that we simply don’t know yet. And until the next Einstein comes along, we may never have an answer. ; Deep orion constellation and hydrogen alpha nebulas like orion , barnard loop, flame and horse head nebula This photo took with UHC Filter and modified canon 6D with canon 135mm f2 تصویری از اعماق صورت فلکی جبار رو در سفر اخیرم به کویر مرکزی گرفتم. ‎ #fantastic_universe #astronomy #untoldiran #irantravel #nightsky #starlight #mustseeiran #untoldiran #irantravel #iranemoon #twanight #nojum_magazine #Aksiine

I went on a mission on Friday night :) You can see the Pleiades at the top right (ish) and the Orion constellation is just to the right of the top of the castle. Una estrella tan imprudente habría sido expulsada del lejano y joven grupo donde nació y viajaría a 200 000 km / hora o más a través de la nebulosa.🌌✨🌈⚡️ - Crédito Imagen: ESA/Hubble, R. Follow @cassandra_stanfield_873 ---------------------------------------- For more of the worlds greatest travel places follow @cassandra_stanfield_873 ---------------------------------------- The last few nights have been beautiful for learning advanced timelapse techniques. I am interested in many different types of photography and film styles, plus it’s always fun to learn something new. Besides, you guys want to see more than just underwater photos right?! ☺️🤙 For this clip I shot 1,021 photos over a 6 hour period last night, at a 21 second interval. It was shot on a #Canon 5DSR with Canon EF 16-35 f/2.8 L III at 16mm, ISO 3200, wide open. Each photo was 8688x5792 with 14 bit color, more than double 4k resolution, even larger than 8K UHD! I used #lightroom and #LRtimelapse to render the ProRes 422 clip. 30 seconds of footage was an astounding 13.4 GB. I wish Instagram video codecs could do it justice. Perhaps I’ll upload it to Vimeo so those of you with 4K screens can see for yourselves! ☺️ Motion-controlled look was created in #davinciresolve. 🎧 “Queen of California” by . #timelapse #nightsky #astronomy #hyperlapse #hawaii #pupukea #haleiwa #northshore #stars #moon #meteor #milkyway #sandisk #hydroflask #liverefreshed

"They touch once at dawn and once at dusk, briefly, for moments, before they are torn apart. Astronomy class under starry night, Centeral desert of Iran with my active students of Eco-Toursim. #Orion is a prominent #constellation located on the celestial equator and visible throughout the world. It is one of the most conspicuous and recognizable constellations in the night sky. It was named after Orion, a hunter in Greek mythology. Its brightest stars are #Rigel (Beta Orionis) and #Betelgeuse (Alpha Orionis), a blue-white and a red supergiant, respectively. 🍀🌌What’s that in the center?✨☘️ • • • This galaxy appears to have 4 nuclei, but astronomers believe it is actually an illusion caused by Einstein gravitational lensing! • • There is believed to be a quasar behind the galaxy, and the light it emits got warped around the dense nuclei of the galaxy. • • Image Credit & Copyright: J. The obsessive desire to know the incomprehensible has got a physician like me entangled in the quagmire of Physics, Philosophy, and God! Modern science is obsessed with the question of creation. How did it all begin? Why do we exist? Where do we fit in the entire plan of things? Especially with the future: is all this occurring by chance, or is it predetermined? Do we have an active role in this entire creation? Can we decide where we go from here? Einstein had said, "God does not play dice". Thus, nothing happened by chance! It was predetermined. So are we just mute players in this divine game? While the creator's propensity towards gambling is yet to be determined, we certainly are far from knowing anything substantial about this infinite universe. Moreover, Einstein was not always right. This weekend at CSMVS was quite busy with two fun workshops where children explored the how Art and Patronage are connected and prevailing knowledge systems that helped trade and exchange such as astrolabes displayed in the exhibition 'India and the World'. Kids had a blast making their own astrolabes and taking up the role of court artists and painting their own patrons in funky art works! #IndiaAndTheWorld #art #india #patronage #kids #children #mumbai #workshops #museums #museumsofinstagram #instamuseum #mumbai #world #astrolabe #indianhistory #history #culture #painting #astronomy #trade
