As some of you know, one of my "callings" is massage theraphy💆♀️ Many of my clients come over for neck and shoulder problems, mostly caused by desk work. I love giving massages buuut still I cannot say this enough: to feel better, you need to do the work for it. If you dont fix the reason why you keep getting pain and tension, you gonna have to come over and over again (good for me tho😂). I wanna share few exercises Ive been doing that has been helping me out!
When we sit on a computer our shoulders easily round forward and the muscles between the shoulder blades lengthen. Thats when we get pain over there. So good thing to do is to strengthen the muscles between the shoulder blades and give some stretch to the chest muscles.
Here's few simple exercises you can do everyday with out any equipment to take care of your upper back: ➡️Warming up your spine and shoulers with cat-cow
➡️Getting some movement and strength with shoulder blade push-ups, keep your arms straight and core thight!!
➡️Working on those muscles on the back that prevents the shoulders to turn forward by lifting your chest and squeezing your shoulder blades together
➡️Twist for the thoracic spine, also a chest opener. Twists are awesome, do them a lot!
➡️Pectoral stretch, be careful with this if you have shoulder joint problems, listen your body. You can also do it stading next to a wall. ..
