One of our favourite activities for improving memory recall is keeping a daily journal (especially if the journal being kept is as lovely as this one!). Encourage your loved one to write down important phone numbers, appointments, thoughts and reminders. Each day they should write the date, the weather, any feelings they are having, anything exciting that will or has happened, and cues for things they may be struggling to remember as a pattern (for example: brush your teeth, drink plenty of water, or clear up the dishes after lunch). The idea is to establish a routine that will aid independent living.
