My husband is quite a #philosopher.
He - as opposed to me - also has quite the green thumb.
I watched him care for our indoor #plants this morning. This #citrus was growing and making tiny fruits... and i did not see how cutting it could actually make it grow even healthier.
He explained that #pruning befits the law of energy conservation. That all #energy in the universe is a constant and redirecting growing energy from one part of the plant would allow it the space to grow in other areas, and flower more joyfully. It makes complete sense... now that i understand it.
First law of #thermodynamics. Aka, the universe is a closed system.
Such a reminder of how sometimes, in life, dispersing energy in certain areas also means losing in others... also, corollary 1: what goes around, comes around, corollary 2: the amounts and places of energy we put out there do matter and do affect the rest of the universe (aka karma), corollary 3: if you put bad energy in the mix or suck energy from the mix, somewhere, someone will wilt... so prune, water, breathe accordingly.
