I've fallen in love with running - it makes me feel powerful, helps clear my head and is a time that I like to pray. I'm half way through my training program for the @bmwdallasmarathon marathon and am feeling motivated to beat my last half marathon time. 'If this doesn't work I'm going home' 😂😂 Luckily it did work and I managed to hit a PR. Not quite as heavy as planned but still pretty happy with that! ✨🎉 First video is my attempt at 120kg which felt very heavy and my ROM wasn't great. Managed 2 sets of 3 and lowered it to 110kg which felt so much better! Managed 3 sets of 8, which is pretty decent considering 2 weeks ago I was stuck at 70kg, too worried to up the weight 👏🏻👸🏼 Hip thrusts haven't been part of my programme that long and I still find them very challenging to get right but sticking with it cos they're good for the booty gains 🍑 My top tips for hip thrusts would be: ✨ Make sure you're doing some glute activation before hand! Your glutes can get really tight if you're just sat around all day and so glute activation really helps you get ready to lift heavy things 🏋🏼‍♀️ ✨ Try and get as much ROM as possible! The more the better. If you're really struggling then don't feel like you can't lower the weight a little! Better to be doing it properly AND SAFELY at a lower weight 🔥 ✨I'd recommend having someone there when you're first starting! People make it look easy (I'm not one of those people 😂) but it can be quite a difficult movement and a hard position to get yourself in to so there is no shame in asking for a bit of help or just some moral support 👭 ✨ KEEP PUSHING YOURSELF!
