I remember when it was a major goal to squat two plates regular. Now I'm using two plates as a warm-up for front squats. It's awesome to look back at your original goals and see how far past them you are.
I want to remind you guys that this shit takes time! Also, that I've been where you are!
My followers seem to forget that I had a journey. Like this always came easy to me. Don't forget, I've been the new guy in the gym making a total fool of myself. I didn't know what I was doing, I just bounced causally from machine to machine and ending with too much cardio. I've ego lifted and should've ended up on #failarmy or #gymfails for how horrible my form was with weights that weren't even that impressive. I've fallen off of treadmills, tripped over box jumps, hit my head on the pull up bar, dropped the weight on my chest while bench pressing, fallen off of stability balls. I've been there.
But with every fail and mistake I made, I also learned. I did things a little more right next time while still making mistakes. Then I learned more and did things a little more right. I just kept learning and improving.
And you want to know something?
I'm still making mistakes. But you know what else I'm doing?
I'm still learning and I'm still improving.
Remember, you got this!
