I’m not saying our personal weight loss goals aren’t important. I’m saying that it should never get in the way of the REAL REASON we are alive right now. Like enjoying moments like this where our child is reading a Christmas story to us. ❤️

On the left, me with SIBO, gut dysbiosis, undiagnosed Celiac Disease and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis in Jan 2017. On the right, August 2017. It took me 14 months to beat SIBO and three rounds of treatment. I fired 3 GI Doctors because no one knew how treat it and would not listen to me/research. So I took matters into my own hands. I have read every research article on SIBO and know all there is to know about it. I ditched the medical model and went the functional medicine route. I got weird. In the end, I put together my own SIBO protocol and beat the thing! I'm a Health Practitioner after all and biohacking is my jam. The point of this post is that, questioning the medical model and refusing to work with Doctor's that didn't get it was actually how I recovered. True healing takes time and you might have to get way outside the box. Short-term band-aid fixes will never address the root cause.

So you would understand the carefulness and meticulosity that is involved in putting an epileptic patient on the diet ...👩🏼‍🏫, it is a very strict diet in which we use evidence based guidelines that have been verified by research to plan the diet ...🧐. Not google search ... . . People who are not in the health field just google ketogenic diet and start following it 😞without even checking the condition of their health before embarking on it 😢,... they do not know 🤷🏼‍♀if they are hypertensive ( mega risk to go on a ketogenic diet ) , already have high cholesterol 🙆‍♀, have a progressing kidney or liver disease or any underlying co morbidity 🤨... . . Thus except for epileptic patients no one has a business being on a ketogenic diet ... . . Now answer me is it actually worth the risk? You can actually lose weight without drastic measures ... . . If weight loss is your area of concern .... quick fixes are never the solution ... why not try a diet which is balanced in all nutrients and sustainable in the long run ... . . This is why you need a dietitian 👩🏼‍🏫whose accreditation can be verified .. because they would treat your condition using evidence based guidelines and putting into consideration all other u deleting factors and co morbidities ... . . We are open to questions on this topic 👩🏼‍🏫... . . And to those deceiving people with “you will lose 5kg in 1 week” God is watching you 🤨. . . I've been doing this move for years and just discovered about a month ago that I could lift my leg more than an inch😱 Who cares? I do. It's not vanity at all. How I got here is what matters and why I can keep up with an insane work ✈️ schedule, my busy family and power through the holidays🎄🎉. Don't have ⏱? Yes you do. My workout this morning was 26 min. I used to spend about 90 going to a class and another 45 for a run. Find a few minutes to take care of yourself.
