Your mind is designed to STOP you from doing anything that might hurt you or make you uncomfortable.
That’s just the reality and the survival instincts we have been blessed with.

But ultimately, you are the one who makes the decision. You are the one who chooses the hard. You are the one who chooses to act or to not.
Today was a day I really didn’t feel it. I didn’t wanna workout, or listen to positive stuff, Or eat right. My kids were up last night coughing a bunch, and I woke up just feeling a little more than defeated.
It would have been easy to just lay in bed longer. It would have been “comfortable” to skip the workout and just do it another day. It might have been more convenient even.
But ultimately, I made a choice to show up. Even though I didn’t feel like it. Even though it was hard to figure out the workout with the kids. Even though I wanted to quit, even though I had to hit pause.
Discipline is something we develop not on the days it’s easy to show up, but on the days it is NOT.
