Saturday @dynamic_athlete I did a “choose your own adventure” workout with these athletes.
They each were responsible for picking a Strength exercise based on our template of movements that we train.
This grouping had to have a push, core, and a hip dominant exercise and this is what we came up with. SA SL Deadlift, band resisted deadbugs, SA DB Bench.
Our other group was a pull (Chin-ups), core (ab wheel rollout), and knee dominant (Goblet Split Squat). By training all these movements we train every muscle.
By allowing the athletes to pick the exercises they get educated on the “why” and it gives them ownership of the workout.
