Time for a #transformationtuesday booty edition 😅 About 1.5 years apart from each other - same place, same leggings (well okay my phone and shirt changed 💁🏻) I think it's important to sometimes just put your pictures next to each other and see the progress that you've made. 😈VENGEANCE😈 So after failing 275kg last week twice we turned it around and sent it a fat fuck you. Not only that we one-upped it with 285kg. Suck on that @angus_robert ...daddy wasn't gonna let you get ahead.😜 This moved so much better thanks to a few form tweaks, I forced my knees out harder and locked my lats down harder with a quasi-stiff arm pulldown motion. It might have been slow, but it finally felt safe and secure. Sumos are such a mindfuck. Its not a grip and rip movement. Its a caculated function of efficient leverages. This was the last heavy deadlift day before comp, and GODDAMN do I feel better about it. Anxiety has settled. Smart moves. Gains af. - Front squat 205 x 2RM for an easy rep PR on my most previous 1RM. It's been a long time since I maxed out on fronties, and I had more in the tank when I did do it. But I resisted the urge to ego lift tonight. That's a win. Pretty stoked to hit a big new 1RM next week. - 175 3x2 +6. - Regular squat 195 7x2, final set shown. Tfw 195 feels like 95 💖💖💖💖💖. Busy day ahead but you can always squeeze in a meaningful 25 min workout: . 1. Warmup - interval rowing. 20 seconds max speed, 40 seconds average. Repeat 6 to 8 times. 2. Squats - try progressive load, push yourself 10% over your last weeks max . I started at 10 reps with 40kg finished at 1 rep with 75kg. 3. Stretch your back and legs before you go. . If you're Personal Trainer lists their specialities and it's like a super long menu.... It's likely the training will be as bland as the food from the restaurant that doesn't specialise in anything. Be wary of those who try to be a jack of all trades. Usually it equals- EXCEPTIONAL at NOTHING😉 Buyer beware- a lot of the time these 'coaches' are just trying to get their numbers up to make as much money as they can and get a broad client base. The fitness industry has lot of know it alls without the experience to back it up.🤔 . The PT that does a mini course on Olympic lifting and then starts teaching it to clients is like the girl who does a month of PT and then suddenly decides to compete in a body building comp and documents her "fitness journey". . They're not ready. . Everyone needs to stop following the crowd. Have the guts to do something you're passionate about and do what you believe in. Be open to learning- but only if it interests you, not just because everyone in your environment is doing it and you want to fit in.
