I’m a little late posting today! (Sorry 😬) Also I apologize for the horrible quality of this picture and my messy room (to be fair, my bed is made 🤷🏼‍♀️) I got a package from @mansports in the mail today! I tried out a couple new products: the pink lemonade flavored scorch powder, and the sweat compound. The pink lemonade was to die for 🤤 and I personally love the powder more because A. It tastes yummy, and B. You can control how much your serving is, unlike the pill. The sweat compound definitely works. I would suggest taking it 45 minutes to an hour before working out, because I took it about 30 minutes before, and it didn’t kick in until about my 3rd exercise. Whew 😪 that was a long post! #manpersonalbest

Food is the hardest thing for me, and I know it sounds silly, but I feel like a boss bringing my prep to work. I explain it in my snaps, but I finally feel in control and like a pro 😂😉. There's no worry about looking for something healthy to buy or how much to get, or if my eyes are bigger than my stomach. Plus, can you say SAVING MONEY. Here it is!! My Day 1 picture for the #manpersonalbest challenge! 🤗 I am not as toned as I was at the beginning of December, but that’s okay! Because holidays, family time, and just having a great time was worth letting myself get a little fluffy 💁🏻💕 Just in case your curious of my goals for this challenge check out my first post 😉 One thing I really hope to achieve is abs!! I have never used bands before and I just have to say.. HOLY CRAP THESE BANDS ARE INTENSE. I couldn't even sit down at one point, I had NO idea how important a simple band could be. It improves the workout and amps it up, I am so stoked I have these. Also, my knees didn't hurt today, I think my joint renewal is working!! I made it 30 minutes, but I don't know how tbh, my legs are jelly. You might be wondering: "why are these supps under a poinsettia?" Good question. Today was delivery day, and every time I receive a box from MANSports it's like Christmas all over again. The tree is gone now, so this is the best I got. 😂 🤷🏽‍♀️ . . Today was also my first time using Sweat Compound. I'm one of those people who doesn't really sweat, no matter how hard I'm working. I got on the treadmill(my least favorite thing) to run about a mile to warm up and noticed an immediate difference! So hard for me to post these but here they are... Day 2 of this 60 day @mansports challenge. My goal isn't to lose weight but to gain strength. I like to go in the gym & see how much I can lift each week; it's so rewarding to me! I started lifting in April 2017, just at home w small weights & bands. I was a fitness instructor for ~8 years, didn't focus on lifting weights, it was mainly cardio however; have always had a love for bodybuilding, just never dedicated time to it until now. I'm 44 & definitely don't feel my age. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can accomplish in the next 2 months for this challenge! #MANpersonalbest #mansports @alexandermccray #letsgetit

#transformationtuesday Before, 28 years old. Current 40 years old. Unfortunately I have self tanner on my face tonight that makes it look dirty and no makeup or I would look better lol!!! I started my weight loss journey on March 20, 2017. I started at 323 and currently weigh 257. Up until 1/2/18 I just counted calories and worked out. I’m back & I’m staying. This year I chose to join 3 great challenges to start fresh. The 3 of them have different things to focus on and today in honor of #transformationtueday I want to tell you WHY I chose to join them. .
Why am I using this picture to tell you the WHY behind me all of this? Because it’s a reminder that you are always working on being your best self. Did I want to post this picture, not really… I actually got a lot of this pictures from that time (right picture) taken down from facebook. Why? Because I didn’t like how I looked. . 2010 - The girl on that picture wasn’t happy and was probably faking that smile. She was eating out of anxiety, was insulin resistant and really close to become diabetic. She had PCOS, had to take meds, had no energy ever. She wasn’t able to run, not even a block without feeling miserable.
. 2017 - The girl on the left is no the leanest I’ve ever been, but it’s certainly the happiest. She learnt how to take care of her body, how to nourish it. She learnt to enjoy food without binging, she learnt to not giving up. She celebrates every PR at the gym and can’t believe how strong she is becoming day by day. . Certainly one of the reasons why I started this fitness journey was looking better & lose weight, another reason was being healthy. But the reason that made me stick to my nutrition, my workouts and this lifestyle is the confidence and strength you gain thanks to making changes. The WHY behind all of this, is just becoming a better, a stronger and a more confident person than I was last year.

Things I have avoided today - 🥐, bacon, hash, chocolate, chips & dip, bread, tomato bisque, more bread, cheese, salami and more bread.. Things I have consumed - multiple scoops of Scorch, over a gallon of water, yogurt, donut.... protein, shrimp, veggies, rainbow sherbet... Aminos (duh), duck, salmon and more veggies. The best thing you can do for you is going to the grocery and buying simple foods that are going to fuel your workouts. What do you need? Protein, Carbs, and Healthy Fats. Don’t over complicate things. My go-to foods are as follows: P: 93% or leaner beef, chicken, cod, flounder, CASEIN powder, Whey Isolate, and elk. C: Oats, jasmine rice, whole grain bread, whole grain BAGLES🔥, bran flakes, and whole grain tortillas. F: Nuts, Nut butters, avocados, and occasionally coconut oil. 2 cups of veggies every meal. DAY 2. Meals prepped for the rest of the week! 🏃Running was never something I enjoyed doing. I've always been pretty athletic, coming from a small town, (and by small I mean I had 4 total kids in my class😳) you kind of had to do all sports or we wouldn't have had a team. But running was something I did to keep in shape for those sports not something I did on purpose. Fast forward to "adult" Cassie and I started running regularly and entering 5 and 10Ks. Last year I set a New Years resolution/goal to run 3 miles (a 5K basically) once a week for the whole year. There were weeks I had to double up for missing a week and in the last week of 2017 I had to triple up to catch up,..... but I did it. I ran over 156 miles in 2017. I know to some people this isn't an astronomical amount at all, but to me it was an accomplishment. I plan to continue this into 2018 as well. Moral of the story set goals for your self, write them down, and keep them somewhere you can see them and you will stay motivated to accomplish them!! ❤️❤️My very first 5K in 2015 fast forward to ➡️➡️the same race in 2017 only I ran the 10K this time! #mansports #manpersonalbest #writedownyourgoals #running #staymotivated

Day five of the @mansports #manpersonalbest 60 day challenge! Managed to get some active core work in between corporate session today! Planks are among the best abdominal exercises out there, but once they become easy to do for an extended period of time it important to find ways to make them more challenging. Find ways to add motion, instability, and difficulty to workouts that are otherwise easy for you to do to avoid becoming stale or slowing progress! #leanliferevolution

Pre workout stack. I love the body octane mixed with scorch right now. It's enough zap to get my through a workout and still be able to sleep. Also started putting iso aminos and glutamine(not pictured) in with my Pre workout to help with muscle soreness and recovery.
