Congratulations to our September Member of the Month - Lawrence!
Lawrence joined Anytime Fitness Milton in March 2016 because as he puts it "I finally looked at myself and said enough is enough". Since then he has definitely achieved his goals of losing weight (85lbs!) and increasing his energy. He is also one of just a handful of members who has completed the Mt. Everest Challenge on the Jacobs Ladder and the Burj Khalifa Challenge on the Life Fitness Step Mill!
We've seen his determination in his solo workouts and his personal training sessions and know this is just the beginning for him. His next goal is to compete in a deadlift competition and we can't wait to see him crush it!
His favorite exercise is deadlift because its been his biggest challenge so far. His least favorite exercise is the rowing machine because it "seems pointless" BUT he does it anyway 😀. Lawrence says it all finally clicked for him when he noticed the workouts getting easier and other people started noticing his weight loss. But he's not perfect. Like the rest of us he has days he eats things he knows he shouldn't or he skips the gym too many days in a row. He has a full time job, a wife, kids, and many other responsibilities, so he knows how hard it can be to make the time for a workout. When he gets distracted or starts to lose the motivation he just reminds himself of how far he's come and he gets back at it. He also takes advantage of Anytime Fitness reciprocity at 3,500+ clubs and still gets his workouts in whenever his job sends him to another city or state.
His advice to you is "No excuses, just do it. Trust the process - it works!"
