. Mix media - Woven grass/pit fired bowl Created by Ceramic Artist - Suzanne Thompson. . Suzanne Thompson is the first ceramic artist that I stocked when opening Nest. I was very drawn to her work because she combines two of my favourite things, nature and pit fired pottery. Her creations are all so different and so unique. What I love about Suzannes work is that her vases remind me of something an archeologist would discover at the bottom of the ocean like vases from the ancient days and her bowls and sculptures combined with nature look very tribal.

When grown ups shy away from entering the art space, a child can't wait to get into direct contact with the novelty of it all. How does it feel? How would it taste? 😜What happens if...They don't ask what is it? What does it mean? They accept that it just IS. And want an immediate visual, tactile, experiential, relational experience with it. For those who are not trained in the arts, I propose that this is a perfectly legitimate way to view art. What's the immediate, the obvious, even that which we would take for granted? Acknowledge those things that come at you. And then just take time, dwell in that. Don't try to make sense if it. Just be with it. Enter into a relationship with it, you might be surprised by what happens next. 😊❀️ . . . . . . #contemporaryart #interactiveart #installationart #abstractart #landscape #landscapelovers #painting #landscapepainting #mixedmedia #biggerisbetter #ethereal #serene #explore #exploretocreate #artshow #gallery #discover #interesting #createcommune #creativity #creativeprocess #childlike #lookingatart #curiousity #artistsforartists #happyartistmovement #carveouttimeforart #katyaroberts #artoftheday
