West Fork of Oak Creek, outside of Sedona.
It's a popular destination – even in February, with snow and ice on the trail, but don't let that deter you. The further up the canyon and more creeks you cross, the fewer people you will encounter.
Eventually, the trail stops and leaves you here. To keep going you must wade through water down these narrows, 2.5 miles I believe.
I turned around at this point because I didn't have the proper gear to continue, however this is where the real adventure begins!
Bring your waders, neoprene clothing and an overnight pack and you're looking at a sweet overnight excursion in Coconino National Forest!
