It's not always pretty with perfect lifts!
Thought I'd share this from a couple of weeks ago. This is the after of a failed 100kg squat. Mentally it was a very bad day! I've nailed them before with ease since injuring my knee so the weight is not new territory to me.
Taking the crap that happens in life and over thinking the lift had already ruined that session for me, along with being well into a cut - wasn't the best idea.
I absolutely hate having a session like this, it actually infuriates me.
But I have to learn to take a step back, evaluate why or how it didn't go the way I planned / wanted and refocus myself.
For me this is stepping back and sticking to 95kg for reps until this cut is over and I can get some strength and size back✌️ Regardless of your goals in and outside of the gym, being consistent and having the right mindset is so darn important!
