A couple of Turkish Black Sea scenes. First, the fantabulous Saturday market in Inebolu. You know it's autumn by the bunches of large, fleshy rocket leaves, the apples and hazelnuts, and orange kanlica mushrooms. Note also the kereviz/celeriac sold with its long stems and leaves, which will be sauteed ('cook it like spinach' is the common refrain, if you ask vendors) or with potatoes. And liter pop bottles filled with raw milk. Swipe for an example of the region's lovely timber houses and ambar (grain barns). Many of these beautiful buildings are being torn down for their wood. A real loss to the traditional landscape. I love this part of Turkey so much.
