If you’re one of the unfortunate souls like me who lives with anxiety, I’m sorry. It’s a constant state of feeling inadequate and unimportant. You overthink everything. You worry about things that haven even happened yet (like the death of a family member or of your pet) I’ve literally cried out loud thinking of things like that. It’s bizarre, really. You drown in your thoughts. Stress about things before there are even things to stress about. It takes you hours to fall asleep, if you’re even able to fall asleep at all. Because you have a million thoughts running through your mind about stupid things like how a conversation went with someone or how you could have done something differently that would have made your day better. #TheStruggleisReal
It doesn’t come with a switch. I can’t turn it off when I want to. A lot of the time I feel drained, nervous and exhausted. Going to parties or having to socialize with large groups of people sometimes makes me feel nauseous. I’ll see someone at the grocery store that I know and I turn down another aisle to avoid a conversation. Anxiety is a freaking B!
One of the BEST things I’ve found to help me manage it is by working out consistently and a healthier diet. Also, the fact that I have a super supportive fit fam to help me through the rough days helps too! 👭I’m not looking for a pity party - I’m just here to tell you that I get it.
