A year ago I was shy, had no confidence, no self-esteem & wouldn’t say boo to a Goose. Therefore, in 2017 I vowed to meet new people and make new friends. I started to go to events where I would say hello to & talk with at least one person I hadn’t met before. As a result I have had the pleasure to meet great people & make lasting friendships. There is also something to be said about how fitness has become a part of my life as the majority of people I have met has been through health & fitness! I have to thank @tallyrye because without her I wouldn’t have met any of these people; she took me to my first @un1t_london class, she has steadily helped build my confidence & introduced me to other people as well as put me at ease! I am no longer scared of my own shadow and will talk to anyone! 📷Just a few of the absolute legends that I have met over the last year that I now call Friends!
Being with the elements while you strengthen, lengthen and move the body is a feeling like no other. Pilates is a great way to prepare the body and mind for surfing. ⠀
Whether you are new to Pilates or practice daily, our surf and Pilates days will be right up your street. We aim to hold our Pilates session outside watching the waves as we start to connect the body and mind. Fancy joining us?⠀ PC @checkered_photography
This isn’t the best comparison photo, but it’s the best I’ve got for this week!! .
The still from the video showed up on my timehop yesterday from 1 year ago. I was super confident with myself last year, I’d lost weight, I was fitter than I’d ever been and I’d committed to exercise as part of my life. This time last year I did not see myself as I see that picture now. .
12 months on - I am even fitter. I’ve lost a bit more weight and even though I still don’t have a super flat tummy, it doesn’t look like it did a year ago. Physically, the change is positive, I’m heading towards my goals. It’s taking longer than I expected but I’m on the right path.
Honesty bit - until seeing the video on timehop I had been moaning I hadn’t been making progress. I’d been beating myself up that I wasn’t doing enough. My mind was playing tricks on me and telling me I looked different to how I actually do. 😕
Thank you timehop for the visual reminder that the process is working. 🙂
Thank you to my PT for the verbal reminders and the talks that have helped spur me on when motivation has dipped and demons try to get in.
Thank you body for sticking with me through all the changes and hard work I’ve put you through
Thank you self for not giving up
Don’t give up. Trust the process and work it. Set a goal. Make a plan and follow it. Results will happen and you’ll see them when you least expect to.
We’ve got this 😃

Clients/instas/friends are always asking me what I eat... I'm a MASSIVE advocate and educator of a Sustainable, Healthy, Balanced Diet!
Non of this "sticking to plan" crap or "That's got too much of this that and the other". As soon as you tell yourself you're not allowed something... You immediately want it - Its the way our brain works, the frontal lobe of our brain constantly battles us and wants everything we dont. If it thinks you can have it, it won't immediately start fighting you telling you, you need it!
I always encourage my clients to remember 3 key points... •
🙋EAT WHOLE👍A whole product is something as close to it's natural form as possible... Try and avoid pre-packaged and anything that will contain a load of additives to keep its shelf life.
• 🙋EAT THE RAINBOW🎉When making your meals... You want that plate/bowl/lunch box to be as colourful as possible! Colour it up and get all those vitamins and anti-oxidents in!
🙋DRINK WATER💧Water is out #1! It's free... We're fortunate enough to have enough of the stuff so DRINK IT. On average we should be drinking around 3litres a day... Being properly hydrated keeps us focussed, helps our organs work properly, helps us get better sleep and the big one HELPS US LOSE FAT! Yeah! If we're dehydrated our bodies hold on to fat... So get glugging!!
Happy Tuesday 🤗
