Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
For most of us, tomorrow is going to be filled with family, friends, and lots of good food! But why is there a sense of having to over-indulge?
The day is to serve as a reminder of the gifts and people we have in ourlives, not about how we can eat.
Don't get me wrong I LOVE the food, but getting to the point of filling myself to an uncomfortable level is not pealing.
I'd rather enjoy the company of family and friends and be able to end the day without unbuckling my top button!
• Eat slowly! Enjoy the people sitting around you!
• Try a smaller helping the first go around. You don't have to load your plate to capacity! • Stick to the protein and leafy greens first, and skip the starches. If you need to have the starches, small helpings!!
• This may sound crazy, but wt a small salad or helthy option before you hit the Thanksgiving table. I will drink a superfoods shake before hand so that I'm not as tempted to eat EVERYTHING!
