Sometimes people ask, if I'm getting tired of Tbilisi. Not really, I would say.
Because I'm traveling on weekends! 🌄The most frequently visited destination is Kakheti region. More accessible than the other parts of Georgia, has nice hotels (if you look for the discounts, even the most expensive ones can become affordable), and is full of interesting wineries!
🌅Batumi is also an option, if you go there on Friday night with a car/Metro Bus, or on Saturday morning with the earliest train.
Once we spent an off-season weekend for two in a posh Ajarian resort Castello Mare ( @castello_mare_hotel) and I should say, it was one of two best spa experiences I've ever had in Georgia.
🌄The second one happened in Crowne Plaza Borjomi ( @crowneplazaborjomii) - finding a discount there is harder, but it's worth it. It's also possible to stay in a more affordable place and book several procedures there. Don't forget to switch off the phone! Getting to Borjomi is easy with a car or public transport.
🌌In summer or spring, I'm planning to make a weird trip to Tskaltubo - weird, because not many people understand this place. This little town looks like a ghost from the Soviet past, but the treatment in its spa in the Central Park is so good and cheap, that I really want to go. Also with my phone switched off.
⛰️When the summer will come, I'm looking forward to go to Truso Valley or Juta, which is in the North-East. Sleeping with the stars shining in my window and waking up to the Alpine-like landscapes is a real dream 💙
