I remember as a little girl, I wanted to change the world. Like... literally the entire world. Mother Theresa status. But you know how it goes, as you get older society and old thinking puts limitations on you, your dreams, and what you believe is actually possible. The more I continue to read, experience, and put myself out there the more I come to the realization of abundance, possibility, and how I actually CAN change the world; the more I step into my power. At this seemingly ending chapter of my life I’m changing the status quo of what a young mujer, a mujer of color, and a mujer who works behind a 9 to 5 desk can accomplish. The next chapter looks more so like what a mujer who created a whole new reality for herself can accomplish. ✨ This week I received this in the mail. Something completely unexpected. I’ve been nominated by YOU (my supporters) and am a finalist for the Women of Influence awards, Arts & Culture Champion category. I see this as an omen, an affirmation from the Universe that I’m headed the right direction and to keep going. To be my age (said to be the youngest ever nominated) and at the top THREE of this category in a city full of mujeres doing incredible things is... humbling, an honor, and makes me feel so incredibly grateful. I can’t thank those who nominated me enough for believing in me THIS much. ❤️ On this note and on this day that so many womxn got together to uplift the power of mujer, I’m letting you know that I’ve been currently quietly working on a project that uplifts and connects mujeres of color + mujeres in business + creative mujeres. I’m really really excited about it and will share more on it soon. 🌻 Remember, believe in yourself and your capabilities.
