Counting calories makes shit simple . If you want fat loss, you just eat in a total weekly deficit of somewhere around 3,500 calories, and you’re good to go . Once that’s hit consistently, you can start focusing on adequate protein 💪 . But some people hate tracking... . (These are usually the people whom you’ll receive indecipherable autocorrected-to-shit messages every time they need to text) . Or I guess people that don’t want to stare at their phone so much (🤷‍♂️) . So if you don’t want to track, but still want to drop bodyfat and optimise your health? . Just make sure all meals have a palm or two of protein & two fist sized portions of veggies . You can then add one or two cupped handfuls of carbs, and thumb or two of fat (the olive oil on the salad here covered that) . Eat slowly & mindfully, consuming the protein & veggies first . Once you get full, stop eating (regardless of how far through the meal you are) . Repeat for 3-4 meals a day and track progress . No change? Reduce daily intake by a handful of of carbs, or increase output by a few thousand steps . Monitor progress, and adjust input/output as needed . Pretty simple really 🙌

Day 13 of the #21daychallenge Did you know that you have to burn 3,500 calories in order to get rid of 1lb of fat? Crazy 😜 huh? That’s why it’s easier said than done... Today we are to talk about our weightloss struggles... Honestly, I’ve never been one to really struggle with being extremely over weight... I never allowed myself to gain to much weight.... But I have struggled w/ maintaining weight in a healthy way... I have struggled w/ losing or gaining weight in an effort to be less noticeable or appealing to others... I grew up in a very health conscious home. So I have always known how to get back to healthy relatively easy... But emotional eating, or reactive eating or withholding was something I struggled w for many years... So it has taken a lot of inner work and learned self love and acceptance to allow myself to be the healthiest version of myself and be ok w the attention that it may bring... But we can dive deeper into all of that in another post... .... Now I have a support group that keeps me focused on being the healthiest version of myself... and let’s me know it’s ok to fall off my plan and start again... and I am forever grateful for this team... and this movement... this shift... we are a part of! #weightlosstransformation #weightlossjourney #caloriecounting #gethealthy

I’m Keith, I have a couple things I’m working on in my head and I go to a therapist at least once a month. Why? Because it’s healthy to. Just like working out at the gym is good for your body, talking to a therapist is good for your soul. When I talk to people about my 170lb lost journey and give advice for their success I’ll always mention the mental side of it. Even if it’s not a therapist, talk to your friends, pastor, teachers, subway sandwich artists, whoever! YOU will always have someone who will be there and listen, offer advice and just be there. Often they themselves been through the same!! Have faith!! One of the things I LOOOVE About Wlstories is it truly is a community phenomenon!
