Just last Monday, the 8th, my mother-in-law brought me to the ER. I had excruciating abdominal pain on my left side that wrapped around to my back and shot up. The intensity went from a 4 to a 8-9, going up and down the chart.
I couldn't help but cry not only of the pain, but the thought of something being wrong with my baby. What was going on? Why did I have this on & off pain? I began to beg & plead God for nothing to be wrong with my baby.
The doc & nurse tried some testing, kidney stones being one of them, & nothing. I then later, after 5 hours in the ER, contacted my chiropractor to see if I could go in the next day.
I began to think about what could have caused this pain. It was nothing internal, thank the Lord, so maybe I pulled something? The next day, my chiropractor re-aligned me, I did some yoga later, & I was good as new!
I was on and off with my fitness (yoga & weights) to where my flexibility was...tight, & injury was beginning to be an easier thing to occur. So ever since, I am back at a consistent exercise schedule to prevent this. The biggest advice I keep hearing for pregnancy, God as my witness, is to exercise & stretch. It will help in labor, shortening the amount of time & reducing any difficulties, as well as being a healthy effect for my little baby. So, Win for Mommy & Win for Baby!
